How to Cook Everything App Reviews

Every amateur cook needs a basic reference handy in the kitchen, and for us iPad users, this is it. Very broad coverage and so easy to use. I especially like the suggested variations which get you thinking about customizing recipes to ones own taste. Five stars!

Surprisingly practical and fun recipes for those who love to cook no fuss meals as much as they love good eating. Regular updates are actually useful!

For an food lover whose not much of a talent in the kitchen this is a great app. Easy to follow, simple language and lots of ideas and tasty options.

The go to recipe app.

With the spine breaking on my old first-edition book this is perfect. I can still notate, bookmark and peruse. Still my go-to reference guide.

I love that there are so many recipes, and shopping lists built right in! The app even "changes" with the season- its recommending grilling recipes for summer now! A must have.

Dont get me wrong, this is a good app but the title "How to Cook Everything" might want to include things like spaghetti squash, summer savoury, or even hodgepodge. Well I guess its off to google...

Of the 20+ recipes Ive tried, all have been easy to make, used readily available ingredients and have pleased the whole family. A highlight of the book is that each recipe shows variations, essentially tripling the # of recipes in the book while also teaching principles of of thedi recipes and teaching me how to cook. To kindly reposte the previous reviewer, I appreciate that the app is compatible with pre-os7 devices, allowing me to use it with my 4g ipod touch.

Hands down the best cookbook Ive had. And being on the IPad is even better. Great assortment of recipes and every one Ive tried is a hit.

No updates in well over a year and two iOS s.

If you like to cook and you want to have a variety of recipes then is app is great. Some of the recipes are so delicious. I have made a variety of different cultural foods with it and it has a extensive baking database. Its a great investment.

Essential techniques, including knife cuts and different cooking types (broiling, boiling, etc) as well as recipes. Great find for me, as I learn the very basics so I dont get scurvy, trichinosis, or worse.

Not at all impressed. Waste of money for me.

Hasnt failed me yet. Everything I try to make turns out awesome. I cooked Lamb the first time following the instructions and my dinner guests were impressed with the meal.

Needs an update for the graphical interface.

Great app. Easy to use. Has some good recipes Please add filter options to search such as highest rating, highest votes etc. When I search for say mashed potatoes, I want to be able to filter the search results to whatever Im looking for. Update: app is getting stale. Not sure if its worth its price tag. Would like to see an Apple Watch companion for at least the timer and Apple TV support so that I can cook while looking at the tv instead of a puny screen. This app has been last updated in 2014. Ouch. 2014?!? Dude. Thats just nasty and wrong and pure robbery. Dont buy unless this company starts updating things, and I dont just mean bug fixes. Thank you
